As you have noticed from other articles like this one, I am not a fan of tiny campers, however, I found some models that are very convenient as they are small camping trailers with bathrooms, so you do not need to go outside to attend the call of nature, so to name it.
Whereas the size of these small campers with bathroom is indeed small and only suitable for a couple, they are much cheaper than larger models, and much easier later to tow, as you do not require an expensive towing vehicle due to the general camper weight. In this article, I explain the towing capacity and how to calculate it.
Furthermore, these small travel trailers are able to fit in places where their larger counterparts will not park easily.
My problem with small travel trailers, in general, is that I am not willing to give up the right to have at least an embedded wet bath inside the RV. No going into the woods you know…..
So I researched several small camping trailers with bathrooms, even a small one. Therefore, I can have the bathroom without having to sacrifice too much of the available space.
You will ask me now, as one reader said in the comments when I included an eighteen feet Winnebago: “Define small, what are small camping trailers with bathrooms for you“. I know that each one of us has a different concept of what has to be considered as “small campers with bathroom” and what is actually considered a bathroom when we talk about RVs.
Therefore, in this list, I describe small campers that go from 11´ to more than 20´. I describe the models that I have researched, only.
Here below is the list to facilitate navigation inside the article
- 14´2020 Airstream Basecamp (Features a Wet Bath)
- 18´ 2020 NuCam Tab 400 (Wet Bath With Fold-Down Sink)
- 16´Airstream Sport 2019 (A Bit Larger Than The Airstream Basecamp With Similar Features)
- 13´ Scamp Trailer (Smallest RV From Scamp)
- 16´Lance 1575 Travel Trailer (A Luxurious Option)
- 13´Barefoot Caravans Travel Trailer (Vintage Style With Bathroom)
- 16´ Casita Spirit Deluxe (The Casita Spirit Deluxe Product Family)
- 19´2020 Escape Mini (One of the Best Wet Bath For Its Size And Was The Best Of The Small Campers With Bathroom before this update )
- 13’ The Happier Camper (Dry Flush Toilet Plus Road Shower)
- 15’ Cricket Camper (With a Portable Toilet and Exterior Shower
- 21’8 Winnebago Rialta (The Largest Of The Small Campers With Bathroom)
- 20’6” Sportsmobile Sprinter Extended (The Most Expensive Of The Small Campers With Bathroom But the Best)
- 14’ iCamp Elite (Shower and Toilet, Yes!)
- 21’6 Jay Sport (A Pop Up Camper)
So let´s go inside the long list
2020 14´ Airstream Basecamp (Complete Wet Bath With a Modern Shower)
We have also featured this travel trailer in our article about small RVs.
A very adaptable floor plan is included in this Airstream Basecamp 2019 that has enough versatility to perform a transformation in a few seconds to what you require. Thus, the benches can be displayed open to having more space be used during dinner, and in the night convert into beds.
Likewise, this floorplan contains an embedded wet bath. An impressive alternative to a tiny RV as the Casita models, and also an alternative to a teardrop trailer.
2020 Nucamp RV TAB 400 (Not The Cheapest Of The Small Campers With Bathrooms)
If you are looking for a modern camper with all the creature comforts of home, let me introduce you the TAB 400. This cozy camper, which boasts “Ohio Amish craftsmanship with modern, European styling,” can take you from beachside escapes to mountainous getaways by strapping it to the back of your vehicle. Created by nuCamp, the 2020 camper has the same unique teardrop shape the company is known for—and houses more than enough to keep you comfortable in the great outdoors.
Though small in size, the TAB 400 Camper has no shortage of amenities. The main sleeping area includes a queen-size bed, with an accompanying sitting area and table able to convert into a smaller second sleeping area. In case the views of nature aren’t enough to keep you entertained, a 24″ TV with Bluetooth is included in the compact camper. A full kitchen comes complete with a glass-top sink and a two-burner stove for modest cooking. Finally, the camper’s wet room features a fold-down sink, toilet, and shower. These sweet digs also include an external shower.
Rounded windows, clean lines, sleek white counters, and neutral interiors give this camper a modern feel that’s nothing like the dusty, dated RV of your childhood. And all the tech and electric specs that come with it are certainly far from your sweaty summer family camping trips with no electricity for miles.
First of all, a wireless rear-view camera is built into the 18-foot long camper for easy navigation. With heat, a 22-gallon freshwater tank, and central air, the camper has all the connected comforts of home—and an eight and a half foot ceiling height. For an upgrade on the basic specs, buyers can also have a TAB 400 with LED lights, night window shades, electric brakes, and more.
The TAB 400 camper can also be customized to suit your style, both inside and outside. The camper includes two external color options, five trim options (including unique red and blue colors), four cushion color options, and two options for internal paneling.
Forget the pop-up tent. This minimalist camper is your ticket to comfortability, even when the weather doesn’t agree with your weekend getaway plans. With a $40,000 price tag, TAB 400 isn’t exactly a budget buy like that tent in your trunk. But, let’s face it, not having to stumble through tent set up is worth the price tag.
Airstream Sport 2019 (A Bit Larger Than The Airstream Basecamp)
As usual in these listings of “best of”, Airstream is present with several products in our small camping trailers with bathrooms research.
After the Airstream Basecamp, we are now showing the Airstream Sport 2019 that suits well a family with a child. An excellent alternative in my opinion to a class C RV, a pop-up camper and a fifth wheel.
It has enough space inside so that bad weather is not a problem as you can stay inside because it has a very smart floorplan.
Rooftop air conditioner, normally Dometic or Norcold. Also a fan and a dinette with a proprietary material called Ultraleather. Other appliances as microwave and refrigerator are included as well.
The wet bath is sophisticated as we would expect with Airstream. Fans for ventilation located in the roof and faucets furnished by Moen are two interesting details I wanted to underline.
The Thirteen Feet Scamp Trailer (Smallest RV From Scamp)
The small camping trailers with bathrooms offered by Scamp, a niche RV manufacturer from Minnesota, is this thirteen feet camper. It has two layouts available, and the second one, Layout Two has a bathroom with a shower in a wet bath fashion.
As with other models we have researched in this article, it has closets, and beds that convert into dinette tables with a few movements: Both layouts from Scamp are very versatile, but only the second one has this bathroom from the picture.
Scamp considers that a family of four can fit well here. I think that they would be more comfortable in a larger model and this 13´is quite small for a family with two children.
Scamp informs that you can upgrade your RV acquisition with extra features that come at an additional cost.
I like that this tiny RV includes a twelve-gallon tank of water available and this is large considering the overall size of the RV.
16´ Lance 1575 Travel Trailer (A Luxurious Option)
The Lance 1575 is the smallest of the travel trailers from Lance. Lance has been in the market as an RV manufacturer for more than fifty years. This travel trailer has a weight (UVW or unloaded vehicle weight) of 2,760 pounds.
This is one of the luxury options available in small camping trailers with bathrooms. It has a carrier for a spare tire and a floorplan that includes an embedded bathroom. The toilet has a pedal that is connected with the fecal tank. The bathroom has a cabinet with a mirror and ventilation is done with two skylight windows of reasonable dimensions, as you can notice in the picture.
Barefoot Caravans Travel Trailer (Vintage Style With Bathroom)
This model, Barefoot Caravans is manufactured in Great Britain and normally sells for the small and limited British market. After 2020 it would be finding problems to enter their products into the European Union because of the Brexit.
They are the vintage option in our list and the only one of the small camping trailers with bathrooms that we feature, that combines a retro style, an iconic British design, and a teardrop camper lookalike.
Barefoot offers several customization variants with different bespoke settings in the walls and in the kitchen. This is common for class A RVs and I also see it in class B and Class C RVs, but not so often in these small RVs. In our article about teardrop trailers, we have, nevertheless, some RV manufacturers that offer several customizations.
Different colors are at our disposal to combine in any way we want, with names such as navy blue and lime green. Those are some of the customization options available.
The 16´Casita Spirit Deluxe Travel Trailer (The Casita Spirit Deluxe Product Family)
This is a sixteen feet travel trailer that can comfortably fit three people. Therefore this product line of travel trailers can be an excellent option for a small family from a leading RV manufacturer as Casita.
You have dinette tables that, thanks to the Casita versatile floorplan, can be switched into large sleeping surfaces. In the morning, after a good sleep, you can convert them into these expandable dinette tables and have breakfast there.
I selected this model because I was surprised when looking at the floorplan, how large the bathroom is so it was included in our long list of small camping trailers with bathrooms that I update several times per year adding new models. The toilet and space where the shower plate is located are clearly and finely separated for the privacy of the occupants of the camper. This separation is something we do not see in small camping trailers with bathrooms and we only see in class A RVs.
All humidity and the typical smells of the toilet utilities are expelled with a notable roof ventilator and the presence of windows.
The 2020 E160RBT Escape Mini (Small Camping Trailer With Wet Bathroom)
How many slide outs does it have?: 1 (3 slide outs in the models with tent bed)
This model in the picture, the E160RBT is a travel trailer that is incredibly light, and when the camper weight is low, then the towing is already easier. I detected on their website that they have five different floorplans.
With disregard of the model, you select of this brand of small campers, in all these floorplans you will be for sure be having a small bathroom with a wet bath layout, what is everything undivided in the same bathroom, as opposed of having it separated inside the bathroom. Nevertheless, one of their available floorplans has a separate bathroom.
13’ The Happier Camper (Road Shower Plus Dry Flush Toilet)
Dry Weight: 1100 lbs
So if you are searching for a very beautiful small travel trailer that you can easily tow and take even to the beach, at least considering the size, then this is the model.
It is the shortest model in this analysis of small travel trailers with bathrooms and has the smallest floorplan also.
Below is a video featuring the Happier Camper.
This unit is one of the small campers that does not come actually with an embedded onboard bathroom, not even in the shape of a wetroom. Nevertheless, you can purchase a road shower, like the one in the picture and a bathroom tent to protect your privacy.
Not a model for me, I prefer small campers with onboard bathrooms and not this one with a road shower.
15’ Cricket Camper ( With A Portable Toilet And Exterior Shower)
Information at A Glance
Dry Weight: 1500 lbs
Slideouts: Does not have, but the roof, as it is similar to a pop-up camper, will pop up.
So if you are searching for travel trailers or small campers in the range of under two thousand pounds that possess a vintage look and feel, then, in this case, the Cricket Camper will be suitable to you.
if you compare the small camping trailers with bathrooms, you will see that the additional pop up feature is very important to furnish the users of the RV with much more space, making it roomier once the expanded setup is complete.
For me, the greatest con, the big negative of this and many of the small campers is that this Cricket travel trailer does not have an onboard embedded bathroom. So to have guaranteed your privacy you will need a bathroom tent and also a portable toilet. I do not think that these small campers with these features can be used in winter at all.
As a pro, also to mention, this recreational vehicle includes an embedded shower. For this, you have to select the corresponding floorplan.

21’8 Winnebago Rialta (Difficult to Find for Sale)
Data for this RV model
Dry Weight: 4680 lbs
Slideouts: Does not have
Now, when we had the comments opened, two readers wrote that for them this model, although nice, was not actually one of the tiny RVs that should be included in the list of small camping trailers with bathrooms. They considered too large and also not a travel trailer, and they are right.
This model called Rialta is not manufactured anymore. Winnebago built it until 2006. As it is not too large and I was struggling to find small campers with bathrooms, I included it in the list despite the reasonable considerations from these readers. Also, this model is not expensive, so please allow me to leave it on the list also in this article update.
Below you can see the depiction of the floorplan
Difficult to find a Rialta for sale when you search to buy small campers with bathrooms for sale. Ths good thing about it is that even if it is small, with twenty-one feet, it is not in the tiny RV or super small campers category as some of the entries in this list.
Likewise, this model boasts a bathroom that has a real door that can be closed, something that we can thank Winnebago. So, in conclusion, a choice for those who do not want to negotiate the bathroom and want small campers with bathroom and embedded and not any “Road Shower”
Sportsmobile Mercedes Benz Sprinter Extended (Expensive But The Best)
Information At a Glance
Dry Weight: 4,641 lbs
Slideouts: Does not have any slideout available
In our list of small campers with bathrooms, we cannot dismiss the class B RVs. This one, built on a Mercedes Benz chassis. You can drive it through rivers, across a desert if it is necessary, and up the mountains. Nevertheless, consider that it is very expensive because it is a Mercedes Benz, and this floor plan includes a built-in bathroom.

14’ iCamp Elite (Has A Toilet And A Shower In A Small Floorplan)
Information At A Glance
Dry Weight: 2890 lb
This is one of the few small camping trailers with bathrooms embedded inside the unit: where the toilet and the shower are built-in, in a single room called wet room or wet bathroom.
In the floorplan, below, please look at the depiction of the wet bathroom in the upper left of the image.
There is a dinette-bed that transforms manually into a bed. Likewise, this is one of the few small camping trailers with bathrooms that has also a refrigerator and an oven. Excellent utilization of the floorplan.
21’6 The Jay Sport (The Pop Up Camper)
Dry Weight: 2,270 lbs
Length: It is 21’6 opened, but 18’5 is the size during travel
Slideouts: It does not have slideouts but of course two pop-outs as all the pop-up campers.
This camping trailer from Jay Sport is really very classy inside. Very spacious once the camper is completely open and unfolded. This picture below is a promotional picture, so you better see the inside always because your experience may differ from this picture, which surely is optimized for promotion. This is valid for all the small campers on the list, of course.
In this unit, we do not have an embedded bathroom. In past editions of this article, we did not include it as one of the small camping trailers with bathrooms. However, there is a compartment for fecal waste and an exterior shower as well. Of course that also, in this case, you will need to install a bathroom tent.
Small Camping Trailers With Bathrooms: Our Conclusions
Please write in the comments if you consider that we have disregarded small campers that should be on the list.
For me, the best small campers and camping travel trailers, are the ones that have the bathroom built-in as a wet room or wet bathroom. For the others, you will need a bathroom tent to expand the available space.
